Examination period: The examination period runs from 11 – 28 June. The University requires that all students be available for examination at any time during this period.
Exam clashes: While every effort has been made to minimise exam clashes, some clashes are unavoidable. Any clash with another assessment should be reported immediately, by completing an Exam Clash Notification Form (pdf file, 62kb).
Alternate Exam Arrangements: Students with approved DLU alternate exam arrangements will be contacted individually regarding their examination details. Any student not registered with the DLU who feels they require special exam arrangements should email the MCM, detailing the reasons for their request. Special/Alternate exam arrangements will only be approved in exceptional circumstances, in consultation with the Director.
Deferred exams: Deferred exams will only be approved on medical or other serious grounds, where a student is physically unable to present for examination at the scheduled time. Requests for exam deferral must be emailed to the Academic Programs Manager, detailing the reasons for the request and including any relevant supporting documentation (medical certificate, etc.)
Special consideration: You may be eligible for special consideration if:
- At any time during the semester your university studies were significantly affected by illness or other cause
- You were prevented by illness or other cause form preparing for all or part of a component of assessment
- You were affected by illness or other cause during the performance of a component of assessment
Special consideration applications are submitted online, via your Student Portal > Admin Tab > Exams and Assessments > Apply for Special Consideration. You will also need to provide a Health Care or Appropriate Professional (HCAP) form.
For further advice about special consideration please contact a Student Advisor.
